Rupert Myer
Rupert Myer AO (born 13 August 1958) is an Australian businessman and philanthropist with a distinguished career in both the corporate and cultural sectors. He is the President of The Myer Foundation and serves as Chair of A New Approach, a national arts and culture think tank. Myer has held prominent roles including Chair of the Australia Council for the Arts and the National Gallery of Australia. He was also Deputy Chairman of Myer Holdings Ltd and is a director of AMCIL Ltd. Educated at the University of Melbourne and the University of Cambridge, Myer was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2015 for his significant contributions to the arts and philanthropy.
