George Henry Brandis KC
George Henry Brandis KC is an Australian barrister and former politician. He served as a Liberal Senator for Queensland from 2000 to 2018, holding various ministerial roles, including Attorney-General and Minister for the Arts in the Abbott and Turnbull governments. In 2018, he was appointed Australia's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, serving until 2022. Brandis is a graduate of the University of Queensland and Magdalen College, Oxford. He returned to Australia in 2022 to join the Australian National University as a Professor in the Practice of National Security, Policy, and Law.
