Deborah Glass OBE
Deborah Glass OBE is an Australian lawyer renowned for her advocacy in public sector accountability and human rights. After earning a BA and LLB from Monash University, she began her legal career in Melbourne before relocating internationally. In 2004, she joined the UK's Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), eventually serving as Deputy Chair. Returning to Australia in 2014, Glass was appointed Victorian Ombudsman, a role she held until 2024. During her tenure, she led impactful investigations into public housing, workers' compensation, and COVID-19 responses, earning her the Order of the British Empire in 2012 for her services to law and order.
